Kosowski Announces Committee Assignments

Rep. excited to bring experience to new opportunities

State Representative Robert Kosowski (D-Westland) was pleased to receive his committee assignments last week and begin work on new legislation. Kosowski has been assigned to serve as the Democratic vice chairman of the Tourism Committee and as a member of the Judiciary and Families, Children, and Seniors Committees.

“It is great news to learn that committees have been assigned and my fellow legislators and I can finally begin the process of considering legislation,” Kosowski said. “The committees that I am fortunate enough to serve on will take up legislation that will be instrumental to the families of the 16th district.”

Local officials, including Westland Mayor William R. Wild, met the news of Rep. Kosowki’s committee assignments with enthusiasm. “In just his first few weeks in office Rep. Kosowski has shown the leadership and the drive deserving of these important committee assignments. I am confident that he will bring the voices of the people in his district to Lansing,”? Wild said.

“It is with great honor that I accept the position of Minority Vice Chairman of the Tourism Committee. My goal is to promote the assets of our great state and attract people to Michigan’s many great destinations,” said Kosowski.
